Green Mountain Session IPA, Thornbridge Brewey, Derbyshire (4.2%, 330ml)
Beer and Cider
A truly delicious example of 'modern session IPA' which is lightly hazy and full of flavour, with a lovely softness on the palate. Hopped with Australian and American hops, and named after the mountains of Vermont, this is very much inspired by the cutting edge IPAs of the USA, with mango, pineapple and guava notes. Please note that this beer has just passed its Best Before Date, hence the discount offered. A ‘Best Before Date’ is about quality and not safety. The beer will be perfectly safe to drink after this date but may not be as fresh as the brewery recommends.

Thornbridge Brewery
If not the first so-called craft brewery in Britain as they claim then certainly among the vanguard, Thornbridge was set up in 2005 in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall near Bakewell in Derbyshire.
Since its foundation the brewery has grown to employ 50 people and CEO Simon Webster recently announced a £1.6 million investment in new cask-only brewhouse, representative of the strong growth the brewery has enjoyed since beginning with a ten-barrel brewery.
They now export to over 30 countries and such strong growth has been based on the quality and innovation of its brews, ales which have earned the brewery many awards over the years.
