Their Grande Réserve is a Pinot-dominant blend, sourced from their own premier cru vineyards, and is a brilliant introduction to the superlative wines made by the personable Laurent Champs. This opens with aromas of brown toast and baked apples, underlined by a smoky, hazelnutty complexity. Dry and racy, with a vivid, bracing line of acidity, and zingy pink grapefruit and cherry on the palate, as well as lemon. A fine bead and seamless mousse leads to a saline persistence on the finish.
