Introduction to Fine Wine Case
Wines included
The Society's Exhibition Pouilly-Fuissé 2020
This white Burgundy is a blend of two origins. 90% is from vineyards planted on the clay-based soils around Fuissé which gives the broad and powerful structure to this wine. 10% is from vineyards in the cool, high-altitude village of Vergisson where there is more limestone in the soil, lending a point of freshness and extending the length of the wine. 70% was fermented then matured in 228-litre barrels for about a year before bottling, of which 35% were new, while 30% was fermented in tank.
Fess Parker Santa Barbara Chardonnay 2020
California chardonnay with green-apple, melon and citrus notes that are supported by a little French oak vanilla, and a dry refreshing style.
