Jaspi Blanc, Terra Alta 2020

Coca i Fito is a brand created by young brothers Toni and Miquel Coca, who both quite literally grew up in vineyards on their family farm in Catalunya. The pair work in brilliant harmony: Toni’s work in wineries across the has provided him with extensive winemaking experience, whereas Miquel masterminds the company’s design and commercial projects.

Their philosophy is to produce individual, high quality wines with an authentic sense of place and a delicate modern style, and they’ve kept to this philosophy right from the start: even the very first wine they released in 2006 was a ‘dream-come-true wine’ that perfectly reflected the vineyard conditions.


The Coca i Fito Negre from Catalunya’s Montsant DO is their most highly-prized wine. The grapes (garnacha, carignan, samso and syrah) come from a single vineyard next to the prestigious Priorat region, and the wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in 90% French and 10% American oak.

The Jaspi range – often stocked by the Society – consists of more everyday wines grown nearer the coast to produce delicious Mediterranean-style flavours. The Jaspi Blanc in particular is a very good example of the freshness of the best Catalan whites.
