Lavaux, Villette Les Murets, Blaise Duboux 2021
Made from the fendant, AKA chasselas, which is so typical of a majority of Swiss wines, this round, lightly herby, grapy and appetising white comes from the village of Epesses, close to Lausanne. Try it with fondue, raclette or other cheeses, with or without holes! The 2021 vintage is particularly good and refreshing.

Blaise Duboux
This is one of the top estates in the Vaud district of Switzerland, planted on very steep slopes that overlook Lake Geneva. The lake incidentally plays a pivital role here acting as a source of heat and a climate regulator allowing grapes to attain perfect ripeness after a long growing season. The estate goes back some 500 years and Blaise represents the 17th generation of his family to cultivate vines on these hallowed slopes.

Correct, like a feather on a cheek. Lots of fun. Not enormously long but great that the Society is getting behind subtle Swiss wine.
