Domaine La Jasse Castel
Pascale Riviere is a dedicated vigneronne who works very much on her own, organically farming a few acres on a particularly windswept plateau above the pretty village of Montpeyroux.
Montpeyroux is an unusual village lined with old cellars and at its centre, a well-run co-operative. Behind it the road climbs steeply onto a vine-covered plateau and beyond that up the face of an escarpment and onto the Massif Central. The vineyard is beautiful and has attracted many to come here and make wine.
Pascale was so attracted and her wines accurately capture the magic and purity of this wilderness environment. No corners are cut in the making of her several cuvées and the wines are full of flavour and goodness.
