The Rhône Valley, one of France's oldest wine regions, is celebrated for its diverse and expressive wines, shaped by its unique geography and climate.
In the cooler northern Rhône, syrah takes the spotlight, producing powerful, complex reds, while white varietals like viognier, marsanne, and roussanne contribute elegance and depth.
Moving south, the warmer Mediterranean climate encourages sun-loving grapes such as grenache, mourvèdre, and carignan, resulting in bold, richly layered blends. Known for famed appellations like Châteauneuf-du-Pape, as well as emerging stars like Gigondas and Vacqueyras, Rhône wines offer an exciting range from structured reds to aromatic whites.
