LS Merchants Hoi Polloi Margaret River Red 2022
Labelled as 'A wine for the masses, made by the people', the intention of creating an accessible style of delicious wine is clear from the outset. But don't let that fool you, because just as much care and attention has gone into the making of this wine as that of significantly more expensive wines. Made by hand and with minimal intervention and on a relatively small scale, this is a delicious blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, shiraz and malbec, unoaked and all about vibrancy and purity of fruit. Plum, cassis, rhubarb and cherry-fruit aromas follow onto the palate and are joined by blackcurrant, a touch of pepper and bay leaf. Serve cellar cool or after 20 minutes in the fridge.
