Join our Buyer for South America, Toby Morrhall, as he welcomes two of the heroes of the South American world of wine – Susana Balbo of Argentina and Marcelo Papa of Concha y Toro in Chile – for a long lunch at King Street Townhouse.

We’re delighted to welcome two of the continent’s most impressive winemakers to spend the afternoon sharing their stories and wines paired alongside a delicious menu from King Street Townhouse, in their impressive private dining space.
Both Susana Balbo of Argentina and Marcelo Papa of Concha y Toro of Chile are considered the top of their game in the winemaking world and, as such, are amongst Buyer Toby Morrhall’s favourite producers. They both make own label wines for us which recognise their incredible craftsmanship, as well as both having made very special limited-edition wines to celebrate our 150th anniversary.
At this food and wine feast the pair will be showing these limited-edition wines to explain what makes them so special, as well as a series of other wines from their stable, all expertly paired with a menu designed by the popular fine dining team at luxury hotel, King Street Townhouse.
So, join us in welcoming these producers who have flown in especially for this one-off event and to celebrate our 150th anniversary with our members.

Do you send physical tickets or is it all e-tickets?
We no longer send out physical tickets for our events. An email confirming registration will be sent to the member who has purchased the ticket(s) and this email can be used as confirmation upon arrival at the event.
Can I bring a non-member?
Yes. Tickets must be booked by a member, but you are welcome to bring non-member guests.
Do I need to know lots about wine to attend?
Absolutely not! Our events target a range of experience and knowledge levels, and we try to make this clear on our event pages. If you’re unsure if an event is for you, simply contact tastings@thewinesociety.com and we will try to help.
Do I get a discount on wines after events?
After our ‘in person’ events, we offer attendees a 10% discount on the wines we have shown, subject to availability. You will be provided with a private code after attending the event to redeem the discount
