Rubin, Villa Melnik 2019

Rubin is an extremely rare Bulgarian grape which was created in the mid 20th century by crossing nebbiolo and syrah. This delicious and affordable example from the superb Villa Melnik shows the grape in an attractive, full-bodied and juicy style, with peppery notes and lovely morello cherry aromas. Simple but charming.
