Nykteri Assyrtiko, Karamolegos, Santorini 2019
Nykteri is the term given to the richer, oaked styles of assyrtiko from the Island of Santorini. This example is from mainly 100-year-old vineyards and has spent 16 months in barrel (a small portion of which is new) giving a toasted-lime and light cedar-spice note to the still refreshing, textured and saline palate.
