The Blind Spot King Valley Garganega 2021
Crisp, wild-fermented garganega, a grape most commonly found in North-East Italy, for which King Valley could be seen as a home from home. This has mouthwatering aromas of fresh herbs and lemon zest and the palate is brilliantly juicy, with concentrated citrus, orange peel and lemongrass notes, all while remaining impressively refreshing. Finishing with a slightly saline crispness, this is a moreish white of wonderful drinkability.
Anna's Way Nelson Grüner Veltliner 2021
This exciting and fashionable Austrian grape is perfectly suited to Nelson on New Zealand's South Island. From the superb but small 2021 vintage, this has a bright peach and lemon-scented aroma, dry refreshing palate and a citrus-led finish. The best non-Austrian grüner veltliner our buyer Freddy Bulmer has tasted.
Prince Ştirbey Tămâioasă Românească Sec 2020
The indigenous Romanian tămâioasă românească grape produces an enchanting dry white with delicate white-fruit, citrus and white-flower aromas and rounded flavour.
Feteascǎ Regalǎ, Château Vartely 2021
There is excellent value to be found in Moldova. This is a fragrant, crisp dry white offering a lot of charm and generosity. It is made from the feteascǎ regalǎ grape, which is seldom seen outside this part of the world.
Irsai Olivér, Feind 2021
Irsai Olivér (pronounced 'ear-shy Oliver') is a lightly floral variety not dissimilar to muscat that's mainly grown in the Balaton region of Hungary. This unoaked version showcases the variety's rose-hip and peach-skin aromatics with surprising texture and grip considering its low alcohol level.
The Society's Greek White 2022
Produced for us by Leonidas Nassiakos, this is a gloriously vibrant and versatile unoaked Greek white, made from characterful indigenous grapes. Moschofilero provides the wine's rosehip and citrus aromas, and roditis the stone-fruit character and weight on the palate. Perfect for al fresco dining with a wide variety of dishes. The new label of this popular wine depicts the owl, the fabled companion of Athena, the Greek goddess of knowledge and wisdom.
