What better way to kick off 2022 and a passion for learning a little more about wine than an introduction to wine to tasting?!

In this one hour session, Anna Spooner from the Tastings team will guide members through the technique to decipher what’s in your glass and some top tips to quickly learn what you like, why you like it and how to find more of it!

By the end of the session, we hope members and their guests will have a better understanding of the building blocks of wine; the structure such as tannins, acidity, body etc. as well as supplying some useful materials they can take away with them to use on their own wine exploration.

This is a completely free event, but we do encourage attendees to have some wines to hand. The wines that Anna has recommended for the event are below.

Anna has chosen 6 wines to taste during the event to bring a broad range of styles to life as well as explain some of the building blocks of wine tasting. For as many wines as possible, we've selected options available in half bottles too. (Please note you do not need to buy both sizes!) We encourage you to buy the wines suggested to get the most enjoyment from the event; however we also welcome you with substitutions of your own.
