Join Anna Spooner from the Tastings Team as she explores some of the world’s most famous sweet wine – including a taste-along of three of her top selections.

The event will cover how a range of sweet wines are made and some of the different traditional and more modern methods. There will be an introduction to which varieties are best suited for sweeties, what the differences are between sweet and fortified wines and the ideal foods to pair with various styles.

Wines to be tasted are found below. Whilst you don't need to buy the wines to enjoy the event, we do encourage you to buy one, two or even all three to get the maximum enjoyment from the experience. Please note that the bottles are different sizes, so take this into consideration if tasting in a group.

Our sip-size events are the ideal way to explore the world of wine from the comfort of your home. The 45-minute sessions are a friendly mix of wine education and evening entertainment presented by The Wine Society’s very own Tastings Team.

Each week a different topic is tackled from grape varieties to regions; wine styles and production methods but always ensuring that the session is suitable for all levels – only a love of wine or a thirst for a little more knowledge required. We’ll provide recommendations for three wines to taste alongside each event, but of course you’re welcome to join with any wine you choose – or even a cup of tea!

Still not sure if sip-size is for you? Check out our previous sip-size sessions on our YouTube channel here.
