Online - Friday Night Takeaway - Thai
Join Catherine from the Tastings team for our next Friday Night Takeaway event, which this time puts Thai cuisine in the spotlight. With four dishes and carefully selected wines, she will guide you through the pairings in this relaxed and informative session.
Thai cuisine has been gaining in popularity in the UK and in recent years has been catching up to Chinese and Indian in being a favoured option for a takeaway treat.
Join Catherine from the Tastings team in exploring what she thinks are ideal wine pairings with four popular Thai dishes chosen to enjoy from the comfort of your own sofa, or around the table with the friends, so order in from your favourite restaurant, or prepare yourself if so inclined, and join for a delicious evening online!
The suggested dishes and wine pairings are;
Tod Mun Pla (Thai fish cake) with The Society's Saumur Brut NV (also available in half bottle)
Laab Moo (minced pork salad) with Rui Madeira Beyra Rosé, Beira Interior 2023
Pad Thai (prawn or tofu) with Hunter's Marlborough Riesling 2023

We’re proud of a diverse online food and wine programme at The Wine Society. Formats range from cheese and wine evenings, takeaway nights and restaurant ‘dine at home’ kits. We will explain where to purchase the food in advance; either from trusted partners or your own local suppliers, and we will suggest the wines to buy in advance to accompany the evening.
