Wines included
Tavel Libiamo, Domaine Maby 2022
As one of Tavel's top producers, Richard Maby has sought to be ambitious with this exciting top cuvée, creating an unusual blend of equal parts grenache noir and grenache blanc, co-fermented and raised in large oak barrels. Splendidly full, sumptuous and richly textured rosé. An inspired choice for lamb tagine.
Domaine Alzipratu Fiumeseccu Rosé, Ile de Beauté 2023
Gorgeous, zesty, fruity and expressive Corsican rosé made from the local sciaccarellu and grenache (locally called elegante) with a little niellucciu. Red mullet is a perfect match!
Bandol Rosé, Dupuy de Lôme 2023
A stylish, full-flavoured rose that would be best with food, particularly grills and salads, even barbecued lamb. As this comes from Bandol, mourvèdre makes up a majority of the blend with grenache and cinsault in support.
Corbières Rosé, Alba, Château Ollieux-Romanis 2023
A pink Corbières with the ambition to rival the best from Provence! Bone dry and exquisitely refined, made from an unusual blend of cinsault and both grenache noir and grenache gris. Elegant and mineral, with hints of peach skin and cherry, just perfect for grilled fish or summer salads.
Coteaux Varois en Provence Rosé, Château Bellini 2023
Tom Bove is an American entrepreneur with a love of all things Italian and opera, hence the name. He sold Miraval to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and then bought this run-down estate on the Via Aurelia, near Brignoles in Provence. He completely rebuilt it, going as far as digging up the vines and breaking up the bedrock. The results are extraordinary as shown by this dry, full-bodied rosé with an aptitude for matching with Mediterranean dishes.
Côtes de Provence, Miraval Rosé 2023
A beautiful rose-gold wine from an iconic estate made by Rhône A-listers, the Perrins. Intensely aromatic with sophisticated crunchy fruit on a silky textured palate, this is an elegant dinner-party wine.
