Pouilly Fumé, Domaine Les Chaumes, Jean-Jacques Bardin 2023
A classic and elegant expression of Pouilly-Fumé that is very good value. Coming from a blend of vineyard parcels of varying ages up to 45 years old and planted on a combination of soils including kimmeridgian marl, limestone and flint, all of which contribute towards the trademark minerality and finesse expected from the region. Bright grapefruit, citrus and delicate white flowers lead to a really elegant sauvignon with refreshing acidity, a subtle flinty note and a long, clean finish. Beautifully balanced and pure.
