From the exceptional Tatin family, this old-vine cuvée boasts a definite generosity, but with mineral freshness and a citrus twist. A lovely Loire white with depth and complexity.

Domaines Tatin

A third generation family-owned domaine at Brinay in the Loire valley's Central Vineyards area producing Quincy, Reuilly and sparkling wines from sauvignon blanc, pinot gris, pinot noir and pinot blanc grape varieties. Jean Tatin and his wife Chantal Wilk took over the running of the Domaine du Tremblay from Jean's father Raymond in 1988 and developed wine production from the 1990s. Their youngest daughter Maroussia joined them in 2010. Their Quincy Vin Noble comes from vineyards planted on gravelly clay soils, comprising young, mature and old vines up to sixty years old. Their Reuilly Les Demoiselles Tatin red, white and rosé wines come from a separate property established in 2002 but the wines are made at the Domaine du Tremblay.

The Scotsman

Star buy: This tastes like a Sancerre with added weight. Lime and green apple notes with a voluptuously fruity palate plus underlying core of natural acidity keep it fresh.
