Rosé Case
Wines included
The Society's Rosé, Pays d'Oc 2023
A dry, well-rounded pink from the Languedoc, made principally from syrah with a touch of petit verdot. The two varieties work very well together with petit verdot giving the wine its structure. Appetising and refreshing. This is a wine that will sweep you away to the French Riviera, and while we'd all love to enjoy the journey on the sun-drenched sailing boat of the label, it's a great wine to enjoy anywhere, anytime.
Alpha Zeta Rosato Veronese 2023
Pale in colour, this refreshing strawberry and cherry-scented rosato from Italy makes the perfect aperitivo.
Rosé Duo des Plages, Pays d'Oc 2023
The ‘duo' in question is cinsault and grenache, both stalwarts of the Languedoc. This is a pale rosé and such an easy charmer to be enjoyed on its own or with a salad – and not necessarily on the beach!
G & L Rosé, Kintonis 2023
Produced exclusively for us by Leonidas Nassiakos and George Kintonis, who make The Society's Greek White. This same blend of moschofilero and roditis adds a splash of agiorgitiko for colour and redcurrant and strawberry complexity.
Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo, Contesa 2023
This brightly coloured, beautifully delicate dry rosato from the east of Italy has redcurrant and cranberry flavours with a little spice on the finish.
Casa Ermelinda Freitas Dona Ermelinda Rosé, Palmela 2023
Amid a number of lovely lighter rosés, this pale-coloured Portuguese pink seduced the collective senses of our 2024 Wine Champions tasting panel, showing deft and delightful red-fruit flavours that lingered persistently and pleasurably. Excellent summer sipping, with or without food.
