Rosso di Montalcino, San Polino 2022
This is an intense and complex wine, lifted and perfumed with notes of ripe black cherry, blackberry, and dried rosemary. On the palate, concentrated flavours of sweet cherry fruit and wild herbs are balanced by vibrant acidity and velvety tannins. Rich and weighty, this could match up to many a Brunello. Luigi Fabbro and Katia Nussbaum farm eight hectares of sangiovese with a holistic approach which protects and promotes the biodiversity of their terroir. The resulting wines have an energy and dynamism which is truly compelling, right from their Rosso through to their top Brunello Riserva.
