Sheffield - Spain Growers - Walkaround tasting
Featuring 42 wines from some of our favourite producers, including Cava Sumarroca, Viña Zorzal, Muga, Pepe Mendoza and Bóhorquez, we hope you will join us for this walkaround tasting, celebrating the wines of Spain.
The diversity in the styles that Spain is producing has fast moved Spain to be one of the most exciting wine-producing countries, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming back our Spanish growers to share their wines with members in this walkaround tasting.
The Spanish wine scene covers 70 regions, full of dynamic and talented winemakers who are producing wines across the whole spectrum of styles from sparkling, reds, whites and rosé. A particular focus is on the indigenous grape varieties, with crisp whites made from albariño and verdejo and grapes such as cariñena and mencía making delicious reds.
Tempranillo could be considered one of Spain’s most important grapes, particularly in its ‘fine wine’ capital of Rioja where it’s at the heart of some of the best wines. From the traditional fragrant and silky fruited styles to the rich and velvety modern styles, the reds of Rioja are hugely popular for clear reason.
Featuring wines from some of our favourite producers, we hope you will join us for this walkaround tasting of 42 wines from regions including Rioja, Navarra, Ribera del Duero, Alicante, Jumilla and Priorat
