Wines included

The Society’s Argentine Malbec 2020

2020 was a warm year producing a full and soft malbec. 8% cabernet sauvignon lends some backbone. Ideal with an Argentine speciality, barbecued steak.

Argentina £7.95 per bottle

The Society's Rioja Crianza 2017

A smooth, fleshy and oaky Rioja, made in the traditional style from tempranillo aged in American oak. One of our most popular reds, and for good reason.

Spain £7.95 per bottle

The Society's Sicilian Organic White 2020

This is a new wine to our Society range, but from a family producer we have worked with for a number of years. The Vescos' passion is rooted in their organically tended vineyards many of which overlook the sea in western Sicily. This fresh, peach, chalk and salted-lemon scented white is a blend of 80% grillo and 20% carricante.

Italy £7.95 per bottle

The Society's White Burgundy 2020

Ripe and round yet with a broad, appley palate and fresh finish. For good reason this white Burgundy is consistently our bestselling wine. Its ongoing quality reflects the deep involvement in its selection by successive buyers and the skill of our ‘man on the ground’, Jean-Marc Darbon, who excels in sourcing the right blending options for us to work with.

France £9.95 per bottle

The Society's Picpoul de Pinet 2020

Picpoul de Pinet, now a cru of the Languedoc in the south of France, produces a clean, full-flavoured white and is a perfect partner for seafood. This comes from Condamine l'Evêque, the estate owned by Guy Bascou, leading light in the appellation.

France £8.75 per bottle

The Society's Claret 2020

Merlot-based fruity and unoaked claret supplied for over a quarter of a century by family-owned Maison Sichel. Deliciously ripe and appealing in the 2020 vintage.

France £6.95 per bottle
