Small Wonders Whites Case
Wines included
Domaine Duplessis, Petit Chablis 2018
Bright and fresh Chablis from a top grower. All fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks.
Fess Parker Santa Barbara Chardonnay 2018
This chardonnay has benefitted from the cooling fogs of Santa Barbara County that balance the glorious sunny days of Californian summers. With honeydew melon, apple and vanilla on the nose this is a full-flavoured, but well balanced, chardonnay with a particularly refreshing finish.
Langhe Riesling, Poderi Colla 2018
An outstanding dry riesling by any international standard and fairly priced for its quality. Pure riesling bouquet and intense beautifully balanced palate. This is the only white wine Tino Colla makes, and he has been making it for many years from a vineyard planted on a north-facing slope behind his winery, because he much prefers it to the other native Italian white grapes.
Mád Furmint Király Grand Cru, Tokaji Classic, 2016
Delicate and wonderfully aromatic dry Tokaji from the Grand Cru Király vineyard, produced by Tokaj Classic, one of the finest properties in Mád, Hungary. White flowers, mandarin and orange peel on the nose are supported by furmint's characteristic acidity and weight on the palate.
Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Château-Thébaud, L'Orée du Château la Tourmelière, Chéreau-Carré 2016
A full-bodied, tropical example of Muscadet with plenty of bottle age. Clean, waxy fruit with a touch of mineral freshness. After a cheeky second taste, buyer Sebastian Payne MW said: 'it's got better in the glass, which is a very good sign'. Unsurprisingly then, voted a Wine Champion for 2022.
Neudorf Tiritiri Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Classic, smart and restrained sauvignon blanc from the great name of the Nelson region of New Zealand. Focused and stylish on the nose, with a ripe, fleshy palate which shows notes of melon, apple and a deliciously stony minerality.
