Red Wine from USA - California
A very polished blend of merlot, petite sirah, malbec and cabernet sauvignon from vineyards in Arroyo Seco, San Antonio Valley and the Santa Lucia Highlands. Megan McCollough, the winemaker, has cherry-picked the best grapes from the best sites to create a full yet balanced and complex wine. With 26 months in French oak barrels this is a great wine for the cellar. Mocha, blackberry and plum on the nose, with rich cassis, cedar and vanilla on the palate. This wine has a long rich finish that develops spice and herbal notes with air. With time this wine will soften and develop more notes of fresh tobacco, clove and forest fruits.
