From a windswept Certified Heritage vineyard planted in 1961, whose gnarled old vines bring both intensity and subtlety to the energy and structure of this impressive multi-layered chenin. The name comes from a three-pronged thorn of the caltrop family, as depicted on the attractive label.

A new Cape benchmark syrah, beautifully expressing the cool and windswept sites where it is grown and bringing out the fresh pepper and violet fragrance of the finest examples of the grape.

Abrie Beeslaar and Kanonkop are masters of the pinotage grape and their Estate wine is one of South Africa's finest. Rich, supple and expressive in 2020, this is packed with all the sweet red fruit and spice notes lovers of pinotage are sure to enjoy with a savoury edge and impressive concentration.

A modern South African classic blending cabernets sauvignon and franc with merlot and petit verdot. Its bouquet of sweet fruit, with touches of spice and graphite flows through to a plush palate.

Elegantly honed chenin from a high-altitude vineyard planted in 1960, labelled in tribute to the late Henk Laing who farmed it. 2022 delivered lower alcohol but the wine has plenty of substance, with typical citrus and fynbos aromas.

Refined barrel-fermented chardonnay which blends fruit from three granite vineyard parcels whose differing aspects each add further complexity to the wine. The ancient soils and cool maritime climate of the Hemel-en-Aarde valley are ideal for growing high-quality chardonnay.
