Ripe-tasting pinot which has lovely fine, slightly crunchy fruit and an excellent finish. This comes the Bodensee area of Germany, also known as Lake Constance.

The name's a bit of a mouthful, but this Pinot Noir from Germany's Lake Constance area is an interesting and good-value alternative to red Burgundy. It spent 18 months in French oak, 50% new, and was bottled unfiltered in August 2022. You'll find plenty of fragrant, crunchy and juicy redcurrant fruit, with some toasty oak framing it and adding warmth.

Southern Germany’s well-priced answer to red burgundy. The oak is a little too prominent on the nose for me, but it’s certainly a good-value alternative with excellent Pinot fruit.
