Stevenage showroom - Cellar tour and Showroom tasting
Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at the Wine Society? This opportunity, usually reserved for those who attend a Members’ Lunch, combines a tour of our cellars followed by an informal cheese and wine matching session in the Showroom.
Ticket price includes the tour, a cheeseboard and the tasting.
These tours offer members an opportunity to take a peek behind the curtain and see how The Society manages its operations including a look at the impressive Warehouse 5.
- The Warehouse Tour will depart from the Cellar Showroom at 11.45am. Latecomers will not be able to be accommodated so please arrive promptly.
- All participants must wear a hi-vis vest that will be provided.
- Participants must wear sturdy, flat soled shoes. No open toed footwear of any sort will be allowed.
- Participants will be walking quite a distance and standing/walking for a minimum of 45mins. There will be multiple staircases and uneven terrain so participants must have a good level of mobility.
- The tour will have one member of staff at the front of the group and one at the back. It is essential participants remain with the group and do not move off the safety lines marked out on the warehouse floors, unless instructed to do so.
- Participants are not allowed to touch, use or interfere with any equipment on site.
- No smoking or vaping is allowed within the warehouse, and participants must not use any headphones or mobile phones other than for photos at advised times.
- Please also ensure that no photographs are taken of warehouse staff without their prior consent.
