An easy drinking versatile Portuguese blend of traditional local grapes touriga nacional, tinta roriz and alfrocheiro, with smooth berry fruit.

Portugal

Pinot Grigio, Vigneti delle Dolomiti, Castel Pietra 2020

From grapes grown in the foothills of the Dolomites this pinot grigio benefits from sunny days, but cool nights, which has brightened the aromatics of this delicate, dry, crisp, peach and white blossom-scented white.

Italy £6.75 per bottle

‘Dirt Track' Chenin Blanc by Duncan Savage, Swartland 2020

Easy-drinking, unoaked and fruity South African chenin with body and freshness, from dab hand Duncan.

South Africa £7.95 per bottle

Gamay, Jacques Dépagneux, Vin de France 2020

Fruit-driven southern French gamay, round, juicy and with the exuberance of youth. Best drunk on the cool side.

France £6.50 per bottle

Kompsos Liatiko, Karavitakis 2020

'Kompsos' means 'elegant' in Greek, which is paricularly fitting for this liatiko, Crete's finest red grape. Pale in colour but full of personality with aromas of cherry, redcurrant, herbs and oriental spices, and a full, rich palate with ripe yet persistent tannin. Think pinot on steroids! Best served lightly chilled. A Decanter World Wine Awards bronze medal winner in 2021.

Greece £9.95 per bottle

Mitravelas ‘White on Grey' Moschofilero 2020

A fresh, fragrant and delicious 100% moschofilero that’s brimming with lime-zest, stone-fruits and rosehips on the nose, with zingy acidity and an underlying spicy character on the palate. A real taste of Greece that punches well above its price-tag. A Decanter World Wine Awards silver medal winner 2021.

Greece £7.25 per bottle

Rainer Wess Grüner Veltliner, Kremstal 2020

The father and daughter duo of Rainer and Christina Wess have really raised the bar with the 2020 vintage of this consistently excellent dry white wine. Along with the ever-present juicy stone fruit, lemon and spice aromas, there is added complexity of delicious struck-match, flint and vanilla pod. The palate is rounded but brilliantly fresh, with notes of lemon curd, gingerbread and peaches. A wine which offers something for everyone as it is both complex and absolutely charming.

Austria £9.95 per bottle

The Society's Hunter Valley Semillon 2020

Lemon-and-lime driven and intensely refreshing, this is a brilliant example of one of Australia's greatest wine styles, a taste found nowhere else in the world of wine.

Australia

The Society's French Dry White 2020

This is supplied to us by Languedoc producer Domaine du Bosc, whose diversity of grape varieties allows them to play to the strengths of the vintage in this part of France. Aromatic, and delightful, with a light touch.

France £6.75 per bottle

Touraine Tradition, Domaine de la Renaudie 2018

Our Wine Champions panel found themselves pining for a charcuterie board when tasting this supple, red-fruited bistro-style red. A 50:50 blend of cabernet franc and côt (the Loire's traditional name for malbec), and the combination works brilliantly.

France

Valpolicella Valpantena, Torre del Falasco 2020

Vibrant, red-berry and cracked black-pepper perfume, a light body yet concentrated summer-berry flavours and a refreshing finish - classic youthful, delicious Valpolicella. This Italian could be lightly chilled too, and would be perfect with a spicy pizza or cold cuts.

Italy £8.75 per bottle
