Susana Balbo Signature Barrel Fermented Paraje Altamira Torrontés 2021

White Wine from Argentina
4.000000000 star rating 2 Reviews
A successful new take on Argentine torrontés with aromas of white peach with some lemon zest and a tiny hint of vanilla. It was barrel fermented in low-toast 600-litre barrels which avoided marked oakiness but allowed some mid-palate richness to develop from four months on its lees. Treating the grape in this way arguably shouldn't work… but it certainly does here!
