The Wine Society`s Generation Series Chianti Classico 2021

This exclusive Chianti was a winner in our 2024 Wine Champions blind tastings, a testament to the talents of Francesco Ricasoli, whose family has been making wine in Chianti Classico at Castello di Brolio since the 12th century. This traditional-style example has wonderful lift, with red apple and rosemary aromas and great elegance. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Vigna Corvino 2022

Rocco Pasetti makes the most attractive example we know of this Italian classic. Full to bursting with gutsy ripe cherry and redcurrant with plenty of spice on the finish. A juicy and fulfilling example of this great grape.

Italy £8.95 per bottle
2023 - 2026

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore, Tenute Pieralisi 2023

Verdicchio is one of Italy's finest white grape varieties, and this example has great precision and tension with green-apple, grapefruit and saline notes that hold well on the refreshingly dry finish. Perfect for any catch of the day, enlivened with herby marinades.

Italy £10.50 per bottle
2024 - 2026

Bolgheri Il Seggio, Poggio al Tesoro 2021

In the Tuscan sub region of Bolgheri, the more maritime-influenced climate and clay-based sandy hills are perfect for production of merlot and cabernet. This Bordeaux-style blend is aged in French oak for 15 months and has great cassis and mineral tension.

Italy £24.50 per bottle
2023 - 2031

Pecorino Abruzzo, Contesa 2023

Rocco Pasetti was one of the very first to champion the excellent Abruzzo white grape pecorino, and he's become a bit of an expert. With green-apple scent and lemon-rind and mineral notes on the linear, refreshing palate, this pairs well with fresh salads, seafood or herb-roasted chicken.

Italy £10.95 per bottle
2024 - 2026

Orvieto Classico Superiore Castagnolo, Barberani 2023

Niccolò Barberani puts heart and soul into this brilliant blend, which has deservedly become the most popular of a very high-grade range of wines he makes, with its appealing citrus aroma and fresh, appetising, mineral-edged palate.
