Sicily’s credentials for vinous value were displayed admirably in 2021’s Championship. This was a great success, balancing big bold juicy berry fruit with energetic freshness and a hint of cedar.

Blends are a Portuguese tradition, and this one, from a grand old estate north east of Lisbon, Quinta da Lagoalva, is a light, fruity and refreshing mix expressing stone, tropical and citrus fruits.

Quinta da Lagoalva is just north of Lisbon and this is their juicy blend of two of Portugal's most important red grapes: castelão for roundness and savoury fruit, and touriga nacional for perfume, structure and colour.

A big, rich, peppery Spanish red which is both plump and very satisfying.

Joyful, fruity and ever so easy to drink, it's no wonder this is one of our members' favourite Spanish reds.

A great go-to white wine from northern Italy, fresh crisp and dry with pear and fresh sage aromas, and mineral weight on the palate. Lovely by the glass but it also pairs easily with a range of dishes from seafood to creamy pasta bakes. An International Wine Challenge and Decanter World Wine Awards bronze medal winner in 2021.

Oranges and lemons on the nose lead on to more citrus pith, salt and lime on the refreshing finish of this lovely Italian white. Vermentino thrives close to the sea and is a Sardinian speciality, one that pairs perfectly with seafood.
