The Society's Exhibition Pouilly-Fumé 2019
White Wine from France - Loire
Elegant Loire Central Vineyards sauvignon blanc made for us by Sophie Landrat-Guyollot, who selects fruit from the flint soils for the typical gunflint aroma they bring to the wine, which then ages on the fine lees to preserve minerality and freshness.

Landrat-Guyollot
Domaine Landrat-Guyollot is situated in the village of Les Berthiers in Pouilly-Fumé, in the central vineyards of the Loire. It has been owned by the same family for ten generations, unusually passed on from mother to daughter. The current owner is Sophie Landrat-Guyollot.
The 13 hectares of vineyards are planted on soils of chalk, clay, limestone and marl. The delicate sauvignon blanc grapes are fermented at low temperatures in order to preserve the fine fruit flavours typical of the Pouilly terroir.
The Society’s Exhibition Pouilly-Fumé comes from this domaine and is elegant and restrained in style.
