The Society's Exhibition Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Years Old

Whisky from Scotland
3.538461400 star rating 13 Reviews
Speyside produces some of Scotland's most elegant malts. This has a great nose of honey and orchard fruit. Very smooth, with a vanilla sweetness that balances the powerful fruit weight well and lasts on the long finish.

Speyside malt whiskies come from a part of the Highland that is packed full of distilleries, and we’re delighted to have and include an Exhibition Speyside Malt Whisky in our own-label range. We know that a 12-year-old blend means that you get a lovely balance between the ageing process this has gone through and all those nutty notes that come with it, but also some of that raw maltiness that’s really enjoyable on a younger whisky. Here there’s real honey on the nose, that sherry component is coming through, there’s a nice weight to it, and lift. And on the palate, it’s very mellow. It’s actually a very light whisky that has a lot of intensity and flavour to it, but isn’t burning at all. It’s a really easy-drinking and complex, malty whisky.
