The Society's Sicilian White 2022
The Vesco family at Azienda Agricola Rallo make this unique blend especially for The Society from their beautiful organic vineyards in western Sicily. Grillo’s peach and apricot flavours are complemented by carricante’s mineral elegance and a saline freshness derived from the vineyards’ proximity to the sea. Enjoy this versatile wine straight from the fridge or with food such as zingy salads, simply grilled seafood, chicken dishes, creamy pasta or risottos. The label image is of the windmills near Trapani, on the west coast of Sicily. The mills drive Archimedes screws to control the level of sea water in the many salt pans that have been an important feature of the landscape here for more than 3,000 years.

Cantine Rallo
The dynamic Vesco family took over Cantine Rallo 10 years ago and has updated and revitalized practices here, investing heavily in cutting-edge technology in the cellars.
Cantine Rallo have vineyards in three main sites: hilly Alcamo not far from Palermo (where nero d’Avola is grown), seaside Marsala, and the almost African island of Pantelleria.
The grapes tend to be picked earlier than those of many of their neighbours and this produces their customary bright, fresh style.
