White Wine from France - Rhone
This 100% viognier wine is classified as IGP Collines Rhodaniennes, as the vineyards are planted at too high an altitude and just above the limit of the Condrieu appellation. As a result, you get a very good value-for-money wine here. The granite soil combined with a gentle slope, high-density plantings and ageing vines provides the perfect situation. The wine goes through malolactic fermentation in barrel and then spends a further nine months in barrel, giving the wine roundness and hints of spice. There is fleshy peach and hints of pink grapefruit and orange blossom that are balanced with a refreshing, juicy acidity. Drink from 2025 to 2028. 13.5%
