Xinomavro Naoussa, Markovitis 2016
A xinomavro of real focus and restraint, with pure flavours of cherry, redcurrants and black olives. The palate is light with firm, powdery tannins and bright acidity, with a mineral, slightly salty edge which would make a wonderful accompaniment to food. Markovitis' vineyards are located in Pola Nera in the north of this Greek region, where some of the firmest and most ageworthy Naoussa is found.
