Precious, unrepeatable whiskies from legendary stocks of treasured malts
The Wine Society for many years sent empty sherry butts to Scotland to be refilled with malt whiskies, working directly with many of Scotland’s finest distilleries, from Mortlach to Glenrothes, Bowmore to Glengoyne, up until our bottling line closed in 1992.
These legendary stocks of treasured old malts, secured at historic prices, have been left maturing in Scotland untouched until ready for release.
Each of these small-batch whiskies is individually hand-bottled without colour adjustment or chill filtration to ensure the purest expression of the casks.
The results are incredibly exciting, and because of our co-operative model, and the early investment, we can sell them to our members well below the market rate. They are precious, distinct and unrepeatable.
