A blend of 11 vintages between 2004–2017, bottled in 2019. The blend of grapes is similar to Weinert's much-loved regular Carrascal Corte Clasico – 55% malbec, 30% cabernet sauvignon and 15% merlot – but compared to the lieder of the normal bottling, the different vintages combine to produce something more like a choral symphony! There is a wonderful polyphonic harmony and complexity from the deep bass note of mature, mellow flavours of leather and tobacco, with cedar from the tenor and a lovely top note of black forest fruit from the sopranos. A complete wine, offered at an excellent price. It will be ready to drink upon arrival but to enjoy it at its best, we suggest you wait at least a year if you can. Wines kept for many years in wood like this one can be 'shaken up' a bit by the bottling process, and as such, this one may need a little time to readjust after it is bottled in February (under Diam cork). It will continue to develop further until at least 2026.
