"An interesting wine from the point of view of an old grape variety rarely available. I would disagree completely with The Wine Society's description of its aroma and flavours but it is none the worse for that. I would characterise the aroma as spicy, like freshly cut growing ginger or ginger flowers and freshly sliced (unripe) green mango combined with something sweet like honey and then a hint of lime. On the palate it is again spicy (this is a dominant characteristic) with a gingery grape flavour which then acquires more mellow notes reminiscent of a Rhone Marsanne and Roussanne. There is a slight prickle on the palate suggestive of high CO2 (did the malo occur in bottle?) but this probably helps to make it feel refreshing. A pleasant wine with a spicy character. "

"Pleasant - the description is accurate, and it paired well with a Thai supper. But there are nicer alterrnatives for this price (or less). Won’t buy again. "

"Crisp on the nose and palette with notes of fresh apple. Very fruity, well balanced and easy to drink but just an ok wine.
I just think there are nicer whites out there for the same money. (Chateau Vartely/Moldova).
I agree you need to wait a little before drinking, producing notes of green pineapple.

"This certainly lives up to all the positives reviews. Light, but certainly not bland. Fruity, well balanced and very reasonably priced. A perfect wine for drinking in an armchair in front of a roaring fire, but i suspect it will taste equally good on a hot afternoon in the garden. "

"This is such a summery drink that it's a bit odd drinking it in December but it's quite delicious any time of the year. the slight spritz is a pleasant extra dimension to what is a really nicely made wine. I agree with the review that suggested a slightly saline edge but actually that just serves to give it a great finish. It works really well with chicken curry."

"A cracking good find and well worth the modest price tag. Apples, pears, lowish alcohol, great nose, moreish, don't chill too much and drink with plain sea food, grilled chicken, vegetables. Thank you WS - let's keep it on the list so we can drink it in the summer of 2021 please.

"Very enjoyable and refreshing wine. I was struck more by it's minerality - even a touch of salinity - than it's fruitiness, though there is some pear flavour. Unusual and well worth a try. "

"A very refreshing, slightly petillant, wine. DIfferent from Gruner Veltliner through it's more delicate taste. Good, gentle easy drinking everyday drinker. "

"The previous review and TWS notes are spot on. A wine for simple pleasure that's fresh, clean and fruity and which stands out from the crowd at its price point. 11.5% ABV is another plus. "

"Dry, light and peachy. Plenty of fruit would make a good aperitif and also a great partner to east Asian food. Well priced, fruity and should suit most palates."
