A lovely Savoie white with an intriguing name: 1248 was the date of a massive landslide when part of the Mont Granier collapsed and buried countless villages. The name Apremont, or bitter mountain, seems therefore appropriate. This delicious, light and flinty wine offers much less risky exploration, even if it is perilously quaffable!

Please note that there is no vintage shown on the bottle label. This is because Château de Mérande make so little of this wine that they order labels in bulk to bring cost down and then use them for several vintages. The wine is from the 2017 vintage.
