"Full-bodied yet deliciously refreshing. Admittedly I don't have too much experience with Godello but if this bottle is an indication then the hype around this grape as Spain's next great white is well deserved. The wine has the weight and texture of a Savennières aged in neutral oak (a little of that minerality too) but with the citrusy and appley notes of a Chablis. The long, saline finish also adds a little bit of Albarino/Rias Baixas flare. Again, very delicious and a lovely accompaniment to the Fondue Savoyard we had for Christmas dinner. "

"I am really enjoying this refreshing dry white wine.
My first try of this grape variety and the wine did not disappoint.
Medium/full body with a floral, citrus, pear nose and delicious minerality on the palate with notes of lemon peel, pear and wet stone. This is a refreshingly beautiful wine.
Cheers!

"2019 drunk March 21. I have only ever drunk 2 or 3 Godello wines, and this is probably the best of them. Nontheless, I cannot get as excited as fellow members. It has a brackish taste, nicely balanced with some creamyness. It has more flavour than those other bottles but is still a bit lightweight. My wife thought it opened with a lot of sulphur but this was not a problem for me. It makes an interesting change but I will not be buying it again."

"An all round cracker, great straight from the bottle, has a great depth of fruit and structure that you might expect in a wine twice the price. It’s a bit like a super version of the Pecorino (Italy) that the society sells but with greater length on the finish. A good and less expensive alternative to Chablis, if you’re matching it with trout as we did. "
