With predictions of an early harvest in Champagne in 2020, we are delighted that we will have Florent Roques Boizel, joining us on the 17th August to discuss his family’s Champagne house.
Florent, CEO and PDG of Champagne Boizel, is the sixth generation of his family to own Champagne Boizel. Established in Epernay in 1834, the Champagne house is perhaps better known in France than in the UK, however the non-vintage cuvée is a hidden gem on The Society’s List and a regular stand out at our tastings.
Florent will be sharing his family’s history and discussing what makes Champagne Boizel unique. The event will also act as a launch of the Grand Vintage 2012 en primeur offer.
The Society’s Tastings Team strongly believe that you should not drink Champagne on a special occasion, but rather drink Champagne to create a special occasion, and with five different Boizel wines currently available, plus halves and magnums of the Brut Réserve Non-Vintage, there are options aplenty to make this Monday night one to remember.
Boizel wines currently available:
Brut Réserve NV: 375ml Halves, 750ml, 1.5L Magnum
Rosé Brut NV
Grand Vintage Brut: 2008 and 2009
Joyau de France 2004
