If you thought relaxing on the sofa with a well-earned takeaway at the end of a dark and dreary week couldn't possibly get any better, prepare to be proved wrong!
We're introducing a food and wine event with a difference – wine and takeaway pairings!
This relaxed Friday night workshop will help you take your weekend treat to new heights with the perfect wine matches.
We've selected a British takeaway favourite, the humble fish and chips, and chosen four different wines styles that make interesting partners. This is not so much a 'tutored tasting' but more a chance to join up with Buyer Sarah Knowles MW and Catherine Housden from the Tastings Team, as well as fellow members, for an entertaining evening learning a little bit along the way.
Wines to be tasted are:
Champagne Jean de Foigny Brut Premier Cru NV
The Society's Vinho Verde 2019
The Society's Exhibition Tasmanian Chardonnay 2019
The Society's Beaujolais-Villages 2019
So, grab a fish and chips, pop a cork or two and join us for this delicious night in. Friday nights have never tasted so good!
