The Archimbaud-Vache family – owners of Clos des Cazaux – is one of the oldest families in Vacqueyras, with roots dating back to 1791. Even the building containing its tasting cellars dates back to that Revolutionary era, although the family has since expanded across the southern Rhône. The property is currently run by brothers Jean-Michel and Frédéric Vache.
Jean-Michel is one of the most charming and likeable winemakers of the southern Rhône and the family produce some of our members’ favourite wines – including the ever popular Vacqueras Blanc and our Exhibition Vacqueras Rouge, which Marcel Orford-Williams describes as a ‘benchmark’ of the region.
Join Marcel and Jean-Michel as they explore some of the most popular appellations of the Southern Rhône.
If you would like to taste-along with the pair, find the Clos des Cazuax wines here.
