Date: Thursday 8th July
Time: 6:30 – 7:30pm
Summertime is the season to 'think pink' and to celebrate the colour of picnics and garden parties we're hosting our first ever online rosé masterclass. But don't assume they will all be pale and pretty, no no! We're on a mission to expand the horizons of rosé and blow some pre-conceptions out of the water.
We'll explore the different methods of production used to make this style of wine, the varieties, and the countries where it is produced. Whilst we will naturally be visiting Provence (where pale refreshing ros¬¬¬é reigns supreme) we'll also travel to Spain for more intense food friendly versions and to the southern hemisphere where experimental varieties are being used to make interesting alternatives.
This tasting is designed to celebrate all pink wines and is great for rosé aficionados as well as the curious or unconverted. We encourage you to buy a couple of bottles to open and taste along with us (or all six bottles if you wish!)
Wines to be tasted at the event are:
FC40611 - The Society's Exhibition Côtes de Provence Rosé 2020
SP16441 - Muga Rosado, Rioja 2020
RH60251 - Tavel Cuvée Prima Donna Rosé, Domaine Maby 2020
CE11351 - Undurraga Finca Las Lomas Leyda Pinot Noir Rosado 2020
LO16541 - Rosé de Loire 'Pure Loire', Famille Bougrier 2020
