"Too early really to judge. Just opened first bottle cool from the cellar. Definitely a touch of Jeyes Fluid on the nose when first opened. Had they just swilled out the bottling hall? A bit thin and a bit acidic at first. It must get better. Doesn't improve my image of rioja, but perfectly drinkable. I shall enjoy it with pork belly and beans. Hearty enough? But I wouldn't waste a grouse on it ( Wine Society suggestion)."

"Delicious. Almost Christmas pudding on the nose (if left for a while) and rich black cherry flavours in the mouth, followed by a long pleasing slightly spiced aftertaste. All balanced by just enough acidity."

"Have just tasted this over the internet, with my neighbours in a virtual wine tasting. We all agreed that this was very drinkable to our taste, with a nibble of cheese. We so enjoy wine tastings for the extreme reactions you can get to any wine, and this is clearly one of them!"

"Just had this wine with a Sunday lamb roast. Disappointed given the description of “ pronounced oak flavour”. Not a hint of oak. Rioja is becoming very overrated unless you pay £20+. Will not be buying any more of this."

"I'm afraid I will add more division on this wine. Only bought two bottles to try it and I'm glad I did. For me it doesn't taste anything like a Rioja, in fact it has no nose. With the second bottle I will decant for a couple of hours and hope for the best ."

"Fascinating reading other reviews. At £10 I’m really disappointed by this wine. Not bold with loads of oak, nor light and elegant like other styles of Rioja.
Don’t like the label which is by-the-by, but I was hoping it would replace a £10 rioja called Murua Aclys from TWS which I loved but isn’t stocked anymore.
Going to leave it some hours as others have suggested. Here’s hoping it improves.."

"Wow, a beautiful Rioja - fresh and fruity with lovely tannins, sweet spice, vanilla and lovely complexity as it opens out. Very classy. Decanted it for a few minutes before drinking."

"Really sad. Had hoped this would at least have some of the class and style of Cune wines. I hope the rest of their wines do not catch anything from this!
Colour, nose, taste, all wrong."

"I'm with those in favour but it's really important to give it time. The first night we just gave it a couple of hours in the bottle before drinking. As we're trying to be abstemious in times of covid, we had 1/2 bottle and then sealed it. Next night delicious. Agree that its not got a big nose but it's a lovely wine."

"Terrible wine imho. The clue is in the name. A vegetable and lavatory “scent” that I couldn’t get out of my mind. Decanting this wine is merely damage limitation. There is not much fruit in the taste. Avoid"
