Drawn
from 30 still base wines (the incredibly acidic still wine required before
secondary fermentation takes place in bottle) across two vintages and made
from a third pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier, it is then aged in
bottle for a further three years before release. The result is a thrillingly
complex and rich Champagne with a wonderful depth of flavour. - Alex Layton"

"Now is the time to be buying grande marque champagne and Pol Roger is a class act. The White Foil cuvée drinks beautifully with its base wines produced from 30 plots (predominantly 2015). Crisp, dry and satisfying, this is a classic. - Will Lyons

of the grand old house of Pol Roger are as good as they’ve ever been, with a
run of thrilling vintage wines from the last decade, and this evergreen
non-vintage in blistering form, offering poised roundness and gorgeous depth of
flavour. - David Williams"

"With lemon, fresh
nuts and pear, this is a fine aperitif but its depth and texture also make it a
fine partner to food. - Hamish Anderson"

"Pol Roger was just 18
when he founded his Champagne house in 1849. The white foil Brut NV is a vinous
bullseye made from around 30 still base wines chosen from at least three
vintages (equal parts chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier). All toasted brioche,
hazelnut, ginger nut biscuit and white peach, underlaid with soft spices. Spot
on for sushi, oysters, cold lobster mayo, scallops wrapped in prosciutto,
gougères, fish and chips or Thai dishes. A real standout when I tasted it again
recently. Top marks. - James Viner"

"Always a shoo-in for Christmas Day, this is a complex

The Daily Telegraph 10th Dec 2016
"Pol Roger’s white
label is always elegant; now it is also glittering. The house has been
increasing its vineyard sites in prime areas and is now 50 per cent
self-sufficient in grapes. A blend of all three champagne grapes. - Victoria Moore"

"It’s always one of
the best of the big names, but is showing particularly well at present,
chardonnay’s floral notes overlaying the red fruit richness of the pinot noir
and pinot meunier. - Joanna Simon"

Mid-weight
classic, always among the best. Light on its feet with hawthorn and hazelnut
scents and a peacht palate. Model NV.

"(Tasted blind) Pale
greenish gold. Not much nose. Off-dry start. Then some evident acidity. A bit
sweet and sour. Well made and assertive in terms of structure. Clean and
neutral. A tad stolid. But good length. Quite a sturdy champagne.- Jancis Robinson"

between zing and richness with stellar persistence. - Olly Smith"

"Ripe, elegant and
balanced. Hazelnut and peachy charm from a sunny 2009 base. Great in magnums. - Michael Edwards"

"Another equal parts
blend of the three main Champagne grapes, the base wine for the current release
is 2008 with reserve wine from 2007 and 2006. Gorgeous, contemplative nose, so
complex, the oxidised and developed vegetal aromas are lovely, touched with
honey and toast, but apple fruit purity. The palate has a rich mousse, but the
sweet concentration of fruit powers through. Just lovely stuff, of great style
and class. 92/100 - Tom Cannavan"

Delicious biscuit and autumn fruit character – seems
a bit sweeter than in the past? Developing, oxidative notes on the nose, but
nothing worrying. Exemplary stuff.
