"This is spectaculalry good wine. It has oak but not in a way that overwhelms or dominates. The wine has complexity and depth and an abundance of fruit that appears in layers. Oaked Chardonnays are often accused of being one-dimensional but that is absolutely not the case here. I thoroughly recommend this wine as one that is satisfyling and versatile - equally at home with food or as an aperitif. My only concern would be the ease with which one finds oneself reaching for a second bottle..."

"Delicious! FINALLY I've found that old fashioned chardonnay monster I've been looking for since forever... Masses of oak, masses of cream. Really soft stone fruits and cooked apple. Soft sweet spices and vanilla. Very rich - this is practically pudding in a bottle. Enormously enjoyable. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be any wine of a similar style lower down the list price-wise."

"Wow, when did you last notice an aroma of blue Stilton or horseradish? This wine has both, the taste is divine, not a White Burgundy but quirkly similar, great depth and edgy finish. We drank this on its own and found it a superbly interesting and entertaining glass. Back for more..."

"Sumptuously rich balance of oak, fruit and creamy smooth body. Without a below £12 price tag it would be a four star for me, however, as someone else pointed out there is that slight aftertaste of saccharine bitterness which prevents it reaching the five star mark."

"I love big-oaky Chardonnays and they are hard to find these days, but this one didn't quite hit the spot. Yes there is plenty of oak, melon and cream, but there's a slightly artificial note and saccharin-sweetness that meant I wouldn't buy again."
