"It's a lovingly made wine: personally I would prefer to pay a little more and get a little oak finish on it...
...but that said I think oak avoiders will love it. It is as clean as a whistle, has admirable purity of fruit, some tannin and toothsomeness.
What I like most is it has a velvety texture and fullness of fruit that is rare and laudable in a 12.5% red.
A welcome refuge from the legions of manipulated, chemicalled wines in this price range. Excellent value."

"This is the perfect Recption Red just as the producer intended. Light, fresh and effortlessly drinkable. Worth the premium price though budget for extra consumption."

Mr Michael Sweeney
"Slight (not unpleasant) gaminess on opening, then raspberry scent. Not my usual style of tipple and agree with others that it's very light to drink as a food wine - rather pinot noir-ish. (Took a wrong turning when I saw "Rhone" in the description...) Will try the other half slightly chilled tomorrow eve... I fancy it would make a good aperitif."

"This is a great 'light' red which is easy to slurp on as a 'every day' wine. We generally like a Pinot Noir style and alternate this with the Rondoletto every other day.
Probably 10% overpriced as there are some competitive wines on deals at that £8-9 range. I've ordered another dozen, perfect for those spring/summer months ahead."

"I echo the views of the previous reviewers. Soft, round and approachable, and would be good, undemanding and quite classy at a reception. As a food wine, it lacked the depth to give real satisfaction."

"I found this wine perfectly drinkable but not really worth the price.
Happy that is was unoaked and there was some depth of flavour but lacking something to make it rounded and lasting."
