In June 2022, we launched an ambitious plan to accelerate and expand our sustainability efforts. Last year, we published our first annual report to explain our progress, and now we have our latest findings to share from 2023/24.

Over the past 12 months:

  • We added to our existing solar panels, avoiding around 200 tCO2e per year
  • We continued to reduce our carbon footprint, bringing emissions from our direct operations down by 39%
  • Our Climate and Nature Programme launched, investing in nature-based projects to remove carbon and boost biodiversity
  • We launched our Sustainability Hub, featuring writers from The Society, leading experts and winemakers
  • We have engaged with our suppliers to tackle workers’ rights and labour conditions in our supply chain
  • Over 100 of our producers joined us for Sustainability Seminars, learning from each other and sharing expertise on building climate resilience in their vineyards
  • We ran our first Community Wine Programme, welcoming a group of local people lookingfor a helping hand into their next job.
